Introduction:

K2's derrick services division was established in 2005 after almost a decade of providing a range of rig and derrick refurbishment services to the oil and gas industry. K2 has been involved in the erection and equipment installation for many of the latest and most innovative derrick designs, ranging from the Stena Drillmax, Stena Forth, Mosvold I, Mosvold II and AMKHs Sevan 650.

Over the years, K2 has erected, modified and outfitted drilling structures throughout Asia. Our multi-disciplined teams are qualified and experienced in all aspects of the drilling package, from erecting the derrick stem, installing handling equipment, electrical and hydraulic systems and dimensional control, right up to final handover to the client. Today K2 continues to service some of the drilling industry's biggest names, erecting, installing and commissioning drilling structures in China, Singapore and Korea and is fast becoming one of Asia's leading derrick services providers.

Derrick Refurbishment And Maintenance

With our extensive experience in the assembly and construction of new builds and experienced derrick engineers, K2 is able to supply feasible solutions for all your derrick refurbishments and maintenance needs – from bolt change outs to damaged members replacements and re-engineering of platforms, fingerboards and derrick extensions.

With our in-house engineering unit, K2 ensures all refurbishments, repairs and replacements go through the required engineering analysis and client’s approval.

Derrick Engineering Services
