K2 personnel have an extensive track record across the industry. We have the capability to offer integrated engineering and construction solutions to our clients: from concept to the fully functional end product.
K2’s derrick services division was established in 2005 after almost a decade of providing a range of rig and derrick refurbishment services to the oil and gas industry. K2 has been involved in the erection and equipment installation of many of the latest, most innovative derrick designs, ranging from the Stena Drillmax, Stena Forth, Mosvold I, Mosvold II to Aker Solution’s Sevan 650.
An ISO 29001-certified company, K2 is currently awaiting API audit. K2’s in-house Analysis, Engineering and Design Department conforms to API 4F code standards and has the capability and infrastructure to undertake design and modification projects across the drilling and well servicing industry.
K2’s performs analysis tasks utilising the STAAD Pro V8i, procured from Bentley under a Licensed Agreement. Additional licensed software packages, such as Mathcad, are used for standard technical calculations.
